In this age of information and awareness, individuals and organizations around the world are becoming more inclusive of all people when it comes to communication, aware of the diversity among the human race. Language interpreters are part of the process of this inclusivity.

Hand’sTalk is a Rwandan registered company located in Kigali/Rwanda that was birthed for this purpose of inclusivity. The main focus of our work is to ensure disability inclusion consultation deaf awareness, sign language training and provision of professional sign language interpretation services. We provide services in a variety of settings including educational, medical,
legal, vocational and conferences.

Hand’s Talk continues to pride itself with providing superior services for the deaf, deaf blind and hard of hearing, especially in Rwanda. We are innovative and dynamic giving every client an important place. Our
language interpreters are professionally trained to provide a linguistic and cultural interpretation between spoken languages and sign language.

FACILITATOR PROFILES

Gisele Emerusenge is a passionate about Inclusion. she desires to contribute something of value to her community growing up with a deaf best friend, looking at her life lenses, she was burdened with the importance of not let people with disabilities including deaf and deaf blind people be left alone, behind or un attended. Her passion to serve through communication and advocacy by giving support to people with disability has grown over the years Through HAND’S TALKltd, she is making contribution in ensuring that their voice too is heard.

Gisele holds post graduate in Community Based Rehabilitation and she is accomplished highly experienced Disability Inclusion Expert With over eight years’ having served in various sign language communication and Disability inclusion Organizations.

She has passionately worked in this field in various countries across the world and in Rwanda whereSome of these include: Ministry of justice Rwanda, Rwanda National Dialogue (umushyikirano)National Union of Disability Organization of Rwanda(NUDOR), Rwanda National Council of People with Disability(NCPD) Rwanda National Union Of the Deaf(RNUD) Volunteer Service Overseas(VSO) Legal Aid Forum(LAF) Umbrella of Organization of People with Disabilities in the Fight against HIV and AIDS and in Health Promotion(UPHLS) US EMBASSY, Starkey Hearing Foundation.

While working in these roles she has developed the skills of critical thinking, problem solving, teamwork, professionalism and work strong ethics people focused leadership. Her goal is to be in a community with less language barriers, opportunities to participate and where everybody around us have an opportunity to open up and creating a more connected world where we all can thrive to our best potential.
